Program

  • Tutoring of children from kindergarten through grade 6, middle to high school language arts & study skills, and adult literacy.
  • Offered as private, one-on-one sessions, or in small groups of no more than three students having similar skill levels and needs.
  • One hour sessions or half day sessions are available, either after school or during the school day (for home-schooled children).
  • Tutoring is available at the home of the principal tutor (in Arlington, MA).

Research-based materials and programs are used that provide a systematic approach to overcoming learning difficulties. Children are tutored in a safe, caring environment that promotes a feeling of success and an interest in continued learning. Learning objectives are broken down into smaller groups of skills and concepts that are easily learned. Regular review and testing ensures that children achieve and maintain mastery of each set of skills, in both fluency and comprehension. A strong foundation in the basic skills allows for rapid mastery of more complex skills as well as teaching strategies for independent learning.
